The museum, which is entirely managed and run by volunteers, is greatly supported by its Friends who receive a regular newsletter, invitations to exhibition previews, and free entry to all exhibitions.

Many Friends like to be actively involved and provide valuable assistance in managing the museum's day-to-day activities by helping to develop new displays and exhibitions, as well as stewarding during the summer season. Help is always needed to care for and document the collections and computer skills are particularly in demand, especially in the areas of desktop publishing, database work, image, sound and video manipulation.

Individual subscription is just £7 a year, or £10 for family membership at the same address. Students (16 and over in full-time education) £2 a year. Please email us or contact the Hon.
